2025 Mother's Day Raffle
Beautiful Daisy
We have a special rescue Pointer we are dedicating this year's Mother's day Raffle to. Daisy was pulled from a Tennessee over-crowded shelter in January. She was frightened, very thin and fighting heartworms. As she was fostered for a time in Tennessee and then Missouri, and undergoing our heartworm slow-kill program, when she finally came to Illinois, it was discovered that her chronic cough is a terrible fungal infection called Blastomycosis. Chest xrays show a snow storm going on in her lungs. If that isn't bad enough, she is also fighting tick borne disease Rocky Mountain spotted fever. She is being fostered at the IBR President's home and we are hoping for the best but know it will take months to help her get better. The months of medical care for Daisy will also be a few thousand dollars or more. Daisy is a sweet natured happy-go-lucky Pointer that is so deserving of a better pain-free life and a new adoptive family. We hope we can raise some much needed funds to help with her on-going care in the hopes of finding her a forever home.
The raffle will go through May 4th at 5pm so that some things can be mailed or picked up for Mother's Day gifts. As in previous raffles, we do ask that any items that are shipped that the winner reimburses the rescue for that cost. The Whiskey winner must show proof of being 21 also.
